Amanda G. Neal, CPA, CFP® (Mandy) grew up in Laredo, TX. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from The University of Houston – Clear Lake in 1984, and became a CPA in 1987. Mandy has worked in accounting and lived in Southern Brazoria County since 1980. Mandy and Barry co-founded Finley & Neal in Angleton, TX in 1990.
In her early years in accounting Mandy worked with businesses, business owners, and individuals and continued that work after starting the firm in 1990. She became securities licensed in 2000 through Avantax Investment ServicesSM, and became a CFP® in 2004. Since then she has concentrated on helping clients navigate the complexity of tax laws and financial planning.
Mandy and her husband Clyde Neal (also a small business owner) live in Angleton and have one daughter – Angela who lives in NYC.
For fun, Mandy teaches Pilates and Indoor Cycling at the UTMB Frank W. Stevens Center for Health and Wellness in Angleton. She is a past president of The Center for the Arts and Sciences in Brazosport. Mandy serves as the Executive Chair of Camp Allen and is active in her church, St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, in Lake Jackson.
Clyde and Mandy enjoy spending time with friends and enjoy opportunities to visit Angela in New York. They also enjoy listening to live Jazz.
